League of African Ambassadors vow to develop home-grown African financing model
……Holds African Golf tournament in 12 African countries

The league of African Ambassadors have vowed to develop a home-grown African financing model aimed at preserving institutional independence, credibility, and objectivity.
The LAA’s President, His Excellency, Amb. Eze Ominiyi, the immediate Past Nigerian High Commissioner to Zambia, made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen shortly after a strategic meeting with his Executives.
The Nations News reports that the former Nigerian High Commissioner/ Ambassador to Cape Verde, The Gambia, and Guinea-Bissau were also in attendance at the meeting.

Amb. Ominiyi emphasized the preparedness of the League of African Ambassadors to organize a Golf Tournament scheduled to take place across twelve (12) African countries.
He said the league of African Ambassadors is engaging Amb. Jonathan Ojadah, a Global President of UNIPGC, as the official event Coordinating Consultant, particularly for sponsorship mobilization for the Golf Tournament.
Recall that the League of African Ambassadors is an esteemed association of both serving and retired diplomats (Ambassadors).
According to him : “The upcoming initiative forms part of the League’s visionary and strategic commitment to developing a home-grown African financing model aimed at preserving institutional independence, credibility, and objectivity.
“The adoption of Fundraising Golf Tournaments as a sustainable and innovative resource mobilization strategy aligns with international best practices in diplomacy, development financing, and high-level stakeholder engagement.
“His Excellency, Amb. Jonathan Ojadah, brings proven experience and expertise in the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile international events, including diplomatic engagements, fundraising initiatives, and multi-country programs.
Ominiyi emphasized further that “Given the multi-country scope of the tournament, Amb. Jonathan, in his capacity as UNIPGC Global President, is well-positioned to support both the Continental Organizing Committee and National Organizing Committees in ensuring seamless coordination, consistency of standards, and successful delivery of each tournament in alignment with LAA’s objectives.

“His engagement is expected to strengthen collaboration between UNIPGC and its partners in mobilizing African-based sponsorships and strategic partnerships toward achieving LAA’s projected USD 25 million 2026 budget target, while upholding the prestige and values of the League of African Ambassadors.
“This appointment represents a significant honour and privilege, underscoring a continued commitment to excellence in diplomatic engagement, strategic coordination, and continental development” he stressed.
