FRSC gets new sector commander in Akwa-ibom

The Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, Akwa Ibom State Command on Wednesday have, Lasisi Lanre Ogundele as it’s new sector commander.
The command’s Public Enlightenment/Public Relations Officer, SRC Paul O. James made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Uyo.
The statement noted that Ogundele took over from CC Mathew Olonisaye who has been redeployed to the National Headquarters, Abuja to serve in another capacity.
It was gathered that Ogundele until his posting to Akwa Ibom State was the Zonal Head of Operations, FRSC Zonal Headquarters, Bauchi State.
The command’s spokesperson, James further explained that the redeployment is a routine exercise aimed at strengthening the system to enhance performance and efficiency in Road Traffic Management and Safety Administration in Nigeria.
The statement reads in part: “Following the recent posting of Senior Officers by the Federal Road Safety Corps, National Headquarters to strategically reposition the Corps for optimal performance, the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Dauda Ali Biu approved the redeployment of Corps Commander Lasisi Lanre Ogundele, fnarc as the Sector Commander, RS6.3 Akwa Ibom State Sector Command.
“Corps Commander Lasisi Lanre Ogundele, fnarc is taking over the mantle of leadership of the Corps in the state from former Corps Commander Matthew Olufemi Olonisaye who has been transferred to the National Headquarters to serve in another capacity.”
James also said that the former Corps Commander Matthew Olufemi Olonisaye in his farewell address, thanked the state government and other stakeholders in Akwa Ibom for the cooperation and support he enjoyed during his stay in the state.
