Ex- Kwara students union boss, Wokili denies allegation of arrest by NSCDC over alleged corruption case

The immediate past National President of National Association of Kwara state Students (NAKSS), Abdullahi Abdulkadir Wokili has denied allegations against his reputation over claim of arrest by security agencies over corruption case.

He made the disclosure during an interaction with some journalists held in Abuja on Thursday.

To set the record straight he

The former kwara students union boss said “We wish to correct the misleading information circulating in the media and sponsored-public spaces regarding Wokili’s encounter with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Zonal office.

“Contrary to reports, Wokili was not arrested or apprehended by the NSCDC. Rather, he was invited for interrogation as part of an ongoing investigation.

The statement noted that the association which he served for a year and weeks, had earlier reported a case before the agency, and the agency phoned him for investigation which lasted for about some hours on Tuesday, 25th Of June, 2024.

“The investigation was civil and competently carried out, and the security officers expressed their appreciation for his cooperation.

“The peddlers and sponsored media space were payed to fool the public and damage his reputation, interestingly, Wokili has been going about with his routines. While the so- called stakeholders of the union have been threatening him and spreading rumors to defaming his personality, he has never go their way.

Wokili warned those pessimists to desist from tarnishing his name or else he will approach the law court to institute defamation case henceforth.

The Former NAKSS boss lauded the security personnel for matured handling of the issue and for protecting his integrity in the course of their investigation of the matter.

“We are pleased to inform the public that the situation is at its best and urge rumor peddlers to desist from spreading false information.

He called on kwara students for the privileged accorded to him which his tenure recorded Giant Strides of transformation and transparency.
