The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Bauchi state in a landmark judgement has set aside two separate petitions against the victory of Senator Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) as Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District in the National Assembly Abuja.

The tribunal dismissed the petition of Shafi’u Sahlan of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) against the election of the Senator in the re-run elections conducted in the state sometime this year.

The Tribunal went ahead to declare Prince Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang as validly elected Senator at the Rerun Elections conducted by INEC in February, 2024.

Also, the tribunal had earlier on Wednesday equally dismissed the petition of Amb Chris Giwa of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who came third in the re-run election challenging the victory of Senator Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang for lack of merit.

The Special Adviser to the Senator on Media, Eric Dung in a statement signed and issued to newsmen, said the judgement has further consolidate on the voice of Plateau North people who came out en mass on February this year in the re-run to elect Senator Mwadkwon Dachungyang as the candidate of their choice to represent them in the Red Chamber.
