Ebonyi PDP chieftain, Ojimba applauds Tinubu, Nwifuru for increasing workers salary

A prominent chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State, Chief Chikaodiri Ojimba has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the increment in the workers salary.

He said that the increment will help the workers to tackle some of their challenges.

Ojimba made this known in a statement signed and issued to Journalists in Abakaliki to commemorate this year’s Workers day Celebration in the state.

He eulogized Nigeria Workers for their sacrifice and roles in the growth of the country.

The PDP chieftain also urged the workers to hold onto those values that encourages productivity in the nation building.

Ojimba also commended Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru for increasing workers salary by 10 and 20 percentage and employment of 1700 into civil service. According to him, the employment will reduce unemployment in the State.

The statement reads in part: ” I, write to convey my sincere felicitations to the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and all the workers in Ebonyi State, as they celebrate this year 2024 International Workers’ Day.

“I must say that Workers has lot of role to play in the growth of a country and our Nigeria workers are always putting their best as an integral part of government. I urge them to remain partners in progress, and continue to put in their best to move our country Nigeria to a greater part.

“Let me specially appreciate the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for giving Ebonyi Workers so many reasons to celebrate. Today, the pensioners are celebrating, the Civil Servants are rejoicing.Thank you Your Excellency for all you are doing to Ebonyi Workers and Ebonyi State in general, may God almighty continue to reward you.

“I conclude by urging the Ebonyi Workers’ to continue to Support the administration of governor Francis Nwifuru to make Ebonyi the best State in Nigeria.

“May you underscore the fact that this worker’s day is also a call to be more dedicated in your various places of work, as governor Francis Nwifuru will not relent in making the welfare of Ebonyi workers a priority” he stressed.
