Ebonyi lawmaker, Nwoke vows to fight against Youths restiveness, warns youths to shun hunger protest

Ebonyi State House of Assembly member, representing Abakaliki North Constituency, Victor Chidi Nwoke has few hours to the nationwide ‘end bad governance/ hunger’ protest, tasked youths to embrace peace and dialogue rather than protest.
Nwoke who pleaded with the youths to shun the planned nationwide hunger protest, vowed to contribute towards the
fight against youth restiveness, and ensure that the youths, especially those from his constituency are engaged in agriculture, as a way to boost the economy of the state.
He made this known during the distribution of bags of Fertilizers, herbicides and other farm inputs to farmers and prominent stakeholders of his constituency, that took place at Nkaliki primary school, on Tuesday.
The Lawmaker said that he is committed to ensuring that the youths are engaged in agriculture, so as to enhance productivity and boost food production in the State and Nigeria at large.
He however, declared his total support to the present administration in the state led by governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, who according to him, has been empowering the women, youths and that seamlessly aligns with human capital development which is centred on the Peoples Charter of Needs.
“Youths in Ebonyi State should shun any form of protest, violence or any act capable of breaching the peace in the society, but rather should engage themselves more in agriculture and other skills to enable them be independent in all ramifications” he stated.
In their separate speeches, the Chairman of the Occasion, Prince Emeka Nwoba, appreciated the lawmaker for his benevolence and prayed God to continue lifting him higher,
Others include; Ben Nwovu, Chinedu Emerike and Precious Nwigwe appreciated the lawmaker for remembering farmers and urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the farm inputs and not to sell them.
They also extol the Governor of Ebonyi State, for given a formidable platform to the youths in his appointment and they further aligned with the lawmaker that the youths should shun violence and any form of protest because the governor is doing well.
