‘Don’t Take Oath of office for granted – Gov Bala warns aides

Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State, on Thursday reminded the new appointees that the oath of allegiance and oath of office that have been administered to them are not mere formality that will be taken for granted.

The governor gave the charge during the swearing in ceremony of one of the commissioners and four advisers, held at the council chamber of the state government house. 

Among those inaugurated was Abdulkadir Ibrahim, Commissioner for Education, Halima Ibrahim Dimis, Special Adviser on the Nigeria for Women Project and Women Affairs, Sani Usman Mohammed Chief Security Adviser. 

Others include of Hassana Arkila, Special Adviser on Empowerment, Ahmed Tijjani Baba, Special Adviser on Social Reorientation, and Sha’awanatu Yusuf, Special Adviser to the State Action Committee on Gender-Based Violence

Governor Bala Mohammed said he’s confident that the appointees will live up to the expectations of government, especially as the state government focus on improving the general security of the state, promoting women empowerment and development, as well as embarking on societal reorientation to correct the moral ills in the society and change the mindset. 

He urged them to resist the temptation to abuse their offices by not allowing their personal interests to override their official duties. 

The governor congratulates the new appointees and wishes them God guidance and protection in the discharge of their duties in their various offices.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Muhammad Ibrahim Abdulkadir expressed their appreciation to the governor for finding them worthy.

Abdulkadir assured the governor that they will work hand in hand with him and others for the development of the state.
