The Commander, Nigeria Navy Ship (NNS) Victory, Commodore Rotimi Oderemi, has moved to strengthen the collaboration between the Nigerian Navy and the media.

The commander who lauded the union for its support to the Nigerian Navy said their reports had projected the image of the Navy as a formidable force to reckon with along the nation’s waterways.

He also used the opportunity to present a gift of 12 brand new sets of chairs to the council as one of the Navy’s Civil- Military Cooperation (CIMIC) initiative.

“In support of your collaboration with us as you cover all our activities, projecting the image of the Navy positively, we thought it wise to support you by making your Secretariat a little more comfortable.

“What we are presenting to you today is not exhaustive as we will come back soon to add value to the NUJ Press Centre in Cross River towards strengthening our collaboration with you in our Operation Delta Sanity and other activities,” he said.
