Adamawa Govt Signs MoU with companies to boost electricity, transportation

The Adamawa State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two companies, A4&T Power Solutions Limited and Sparrow Mobility Limited, to improve electricity supply and modernize transportation in the state.
The signing ceremony took place at the Governor’s office in Government House, Yola.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri described the deals as a major step toward economic growth, industrial transformation, and better living standards. He assured investors of full government support, emphasizing that the state is committed to creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
The first agreement is with A4&T Power Solutions Limited to generate and distribute power across the state. The company plans to invest over ₦80 billion to generate 15 megawatts of power in five years through mini grids, hybrid, and solar systems.
According to the Commissioner for Works and Energy Development, Adamu Atiku, this will drive industries, agriculture, and job creation.

The second agreement is with Sparrow Mobility Limited for the assembly and use of electric motorcycles and tricycles. The company plans to deploy 10,000 electric motorcycles and bicycles within two years, with charging and assembly plants in the state.
This will provide safer transportation, reduce emissions, and create jobs for youths.
The Commissioner for Transport, Wunfe Anthony, thanked Governor Fintiri for supporting the partnership, noting that it will help Adamawa State move towards clean energy, reduce carbon emissions, and promote eco-friendly transportation.
The CEO of A4&T Power Group, Mr. Ayo Ademilua, explained that the company has over 12 years of experience in deploying power projects in Nigeria and is committed to tailoring solutions to the state’s needs.
The MoU signing is a significant step towards improving the state’s infrastructure and promoting economic development.
The Adamawa State Government is committed to working with private sector partners to drive growth and development in the state.
