2027: Women’s groups from 25 LGAs of Niger tip ADC Guber Aspirant

Women’s groups across the 25 local government areas of Niger state have endorsed an African Democratic Congress ADC 2027 Governorship aspirant, Mohammed Kpautagi Mohammed from what they described as “saving the state from “misrule and maladministration”.
The women’s groups led by the Coalition for Women Campaign, Hajiya Aisha Mai Youth Suleja said that their aim of gathering is to appreciate him for a new year and to urge him to prepare and accept the clarion call to contest for the next general elections in the state.
She declared the Niger state needs a good and purposeful leader that will have the citizens at heart that will empower the women, get rid of poverty, and secure lives and properties.

“We need someone who has empathy, inclusivity, and patriotic, that the womenfolk can massively mobilize for towards 2027 governorship poll without any taint “
Aisha Mai Youth described Kpautagi Mohammed as humble, sympathetic, hardworking and results oriented individuals who is passionate about the development and progress of Niger state urging him, to harken to the clarion call for him to contest the next governorship in order to change the narrative of the state for better.
In their separate remarks, the three women Zonal Coordinators of the movement, Hauwa Musa, Mrs Mary Ishaku Shashere and Sadiya Shehu Kontagora lamented what they called “the incompetence exhibited by the present All Progressives Congress APC led leadership in Niger state.

They regretted voting for the ruling APC during the last general elections in the state without feeling the positive impact of the administration in their local communities and noted that women had vowed to vote them out to retrench a competent leadership through ADC as the only alternative in 2027 elections.
Also speaking, the State Coordinator of the Movement and former house of representative member representing Lapai/Agaie Federal constituency, Abdullahi Mahmoud thanked the women for their foresight and identifying the rightful individual for leadership.
He noted that women had the highest number of voters during elections and determined the outcome of polls, and appreciated their familiarization visit.
Responding, Mohammed Kpautagi Mohammed who stated that it is not yet time for campaign revealed that he also contested in 2023 elections, but drop out at the primaries
He appreciated the women for finding him worthy to lead the state and assured them that when the time comes he will heed to the clarion call for the betterment of Niger state and Nigeria.
He commended the present administration under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago for demonstrating his capacity to achieve success and if given the mandate to serve come 2027, assured of better things .
” I know the expectations of our people and what is expected to be done to enhance the progress of the state in all spheres of development without regrets by the voters.
Kpautagi Mohammed noted that he has a well articulated manifesto with heavy priority to the grassroots at the local government levels that can propel massive development and reduce rural urban migration in the state.
