The Senator specially thanked members of the forum for the opportunity given to him for the last eight (8) months to spearhead the forum he described as “very important-forum”.
He stated that the forum is very important and fundamental to the progress and development of Northern Nigeria.
Earlier on Tuesday, the 10th Senate slammed a three month suspension on Ningi for alleging the insertion of N3.7 trillion into the 2024 budget.
Senator Abdul Ningi who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Population, sources said was suspended shortly after lawmakers debated a set of prayers contained in a motion moved by Ogun West Senator, Olamilekan Adeola, on the breach of his privilege following his claim on the 2024 Budget which has now gone viral.
The motion sought punitive measures against Ningi for his action, amongst others, which included suspension from the Senate.
