NECO Release Nov /December SSCE external results with 72.6% Success rate

National Examinations Council NECO has released its 2025 Senior School Certificate of Education (SSCE) External Results with 68,166 candidates representing 71.63% obtaining 5 credits including English and Mathematics.

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi made the announcement at the Council headquarters in Minna, saying that a total of 82,082 candidates representing 86,26% got five credits and above irrespective of subjects.

Professor Ibrahim Wushish added that 96,979 candidates with 51,823 representing 53.43% males and 45,156 representing 46.56% females while a total number of candidates actually sat for examination.

The Registrar said this represents a total of 95,160 Candidates with candidates rep 53.36% males and  46.63% females.

He explained that 9,016 candidates were booked for various examination malpractices as against 6,160 candidates in 2024 indicating an increase of 31.7%.

Giving a further breakdown of the details, professor Wushishi noted that 93,425 candidates out of 73,167 representing 78.32% that sat for English Language got credit and above while 93,330 candidates out of which 85,256 representing 91.35% that sat for mathematics scored credit and above.

According to him, 5 supervisors, two from FCT one each from Kano, Adamawa and Ondo States were recommended for blacklisting, for aiding and abetting examination malpractice.

He further revealed that four centers two from Niger state, one each from Yobe and Kano States were found to have involved in whole centre malpractice were recommended for de-recognition 

The Registrar however urged the 2025 Senior School Certificate of Education (SSCE) External candidates to access their results on the NECO official website using their examination registration number.
