‘INEC, Judiciary, APC Govt are behind Wike’s PDP Camp- Gov. Makinde alleges

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Sunday alleged that the government of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), judiciary and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are behind Wike’s PDP faction but the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have Masses of the country.

The Oyo state governor, Makinde  made this known when he paid a Sallah homage to the chairman of the PDP governor’s forum and the governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir,  which held at the Ramat presidential villa of the Bauchi State government house.

Makinde said that “I came in a public domain to said that I was in a meeting with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyelson Wike and he promised to hold PDP for mr president ahead of the 2027 general election”

He said that “Anyone dealing with Wike and his group, that’s you have also agreed to work for president Tinubu for 2027, we leave it for Nigerians to judge, if it can be in their camp where they promised that they are supporting the president.

He further said that”We are not be grodging them, you can support who ever you like to buy go to them if you want to support them’ so that’s our position”

Governor Seyi Makinde said that “We have came to identify with you and the entire people of Bauchi State to encourage because you face challenges and that’s the price of the leadership, but like I always said, any time that you see that people are not happy that may endure for the night but in the morning joy will surely come” he emphasized 

Makinde prayed that in the season of celebration like this, the 30 days of sacrifice of the people to deny of yourself from eating, drinking and other things, it’s our prayers that the prayers will not be in vain.

In his response, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State expressed his appreciation to his colleague, governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for paying them Sallah homage.

“Is only me and you that we are still in the PDP when we started 13-14 of us, described the governor of Oyo as a patriot and someone who believes in the Nigerian project and has always supported me to be able to navigate as member of the PDP governor’s forum.

He said that Makinde has contributed immensely for the development of the party, his state and Nigeria at large, I really cherish his derived and determination and his focus.

According to him said that “Your solidarity with me in time of challenges, you have said it privately and publicly and I really appreciate that, this is what we have made up.

“we have always face challenges and unfortunately for me I always came from the opposition and with humility and modesty God has always given us victory and we will not take the victory for granted”

Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir said that they didn’t call anybody for reconciliation but it’s something that been midwife as the solution by the competent court of jurisdiction that’s the federal court of of appeal.

“We are law abiding and we believe in the rule of law, added that there’s is no irreconcilable in Nigeria especially in the political or national space.
