Anambra Police arrest 5 for robbery, vandalization of company property

The Anambra State Police Command has said it arrested five suspects for allegedly involving in robbery, vandalization of company property in the state.
The command who made this known on Thursday,.revealed that the suspects were apprehended through a coordinated operation on the evening of 8th December 2025.
It was gathered that operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Awkuzu, in collaboration with Police personnel from Neni Divisional Headquarters on a follow-up investigation into a case of conspiracy and armed robbery, successfully arrested five male suspects in connection with vandalism and theft .
The suspects were apprehended at the International Company located at Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of the State.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Tochukwu Ikenga, (SP)), among the items recovered from the suspects included, one pump action gun, 10 live cartridges, and one black motorcycle.

He gave the names of the suspects as, Okemili Chikwado – 20 years, Collins Nwakpa – 23 years, Chukwuemeka Igboke – 18 years, Nwali Chinedu – 18 years, and Ekene Nwakwo – 22 years respectively.
It was gathered that upon arrest and subsequent interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime and named one Arinze as their major receiver of the stolen properties.
The PPRO added further that investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to apprehend other fleeing suspects and recover the stolen/vandalised equipment.
