2027: Guber aspirant, Diaulhaq expresses hope, strong confidence in APC’s respect for internal democracy

A young entrepreneur and philanthropist, Diaulhaq Abubakar has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 Adamawa State governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
He expressed strong confidence in the party’s respect for internal democracy as the driving force behind his decision to run for governorship in the state..
Abubakar made this known while speaking with newsmen at the APC State Secretariat in Yola
The gubernatorial aspirant Abubakar further said that the party’s commitment to transparent, fair and inclusive processes reassured him that every aspirant would be given a level playing field.
According to him, these democratic ideals distinguished APC from other political platforms and made it the right haven for credible and people-oriented leadership.
Abubakar, who is also the President of Adamawa Blue Community, a platform through which he has empowered hundreds of youths and women across the state, expressed optimism that with the resolve of the party to stick firmly to free and fair internal processes,
APC will surely record comprehensive victory across all elective positions in 2027.

He noted that internal cohesion and respect for members’ rights remain critical to public trust and electoral success.
Abubakar said his ambition is anchored on fairness, inclusive development and economic empowerment pledging to prioritize the expansion of Adamawa State’s internally generated revenue to fund infrastructure, scale up skills acquisition programmes for youths and women, and ensure development reaches every segment of society.
The APC State Chairman, Shuaibu Idris, while welcoming the aspirant, assured him that the party would guarantee equal opportunity and an enabling environment for all aspirants seeking to contest elections.
He stressed that the APC harbours no scapegoats or sacrificial lambs, reaffirming the party’s resolve to uphold the fundamental rights of every member throughout the electoral process.
Idris also reiterated the party’s confidence at the national level, declaring that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains unrivalled ahead of 2027.

He described the president as a tested and result-oriented leader, pointing to key initiatives such as the student loan scheme, the establishment of the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development and ongoing efforts to tackle insecurity as evidence of purposeful governance.
