He stated that one of the worst things that has happened to Benue is the emergence of IDP camps, stressing he would use first six months of his  administration when elected as governor  to return the IDPs to their ancestral homes

“I assure you that within six months of my administration, there will be no IDP camp in Benue State.

“Insecurity and poverty remain  one of the major challenges bedeviling the people and it must be brought to an end,” Ujah stated

The former commissioner for information criticized the current administration, alleging a lack of responsiveness to the plight of citizens and assured of a leadership anchored on competence, capacity, and willingness to serve.

He enjoined members of various Church blocs to take the  issue of PDP e-registration very seriously , saying  members of Christian family should come  together register no fewer than 2 million members to enable him secure the party’s nomination by next month. If we are able to register that then we are good to go.

“We must work hard. You must work before you eat. Iam one hundred percent convinced that we are going to be in government house come 2027.

“The most important thing and in all these things we are doing is nomination. If we don’t get nomination then we are nothing.

“The present government has no clue or direction to go. Alia government has no clue and directions. The seat of governance in Benue has been vacant in practical terms, as there has been no decisive voice or action in the face of ongoing challenges

“Benue State government has no Exco, no commissioners and no cabinet. Some people have been sworn in as commissioners but they no jobs to do, no office and are just roaming around.

“When I was a commissioner for industry and for  information, things were going on simultaneously. I built  IBB square and Aper Aku stadium at once. I moved Benue govt share from 3%to 28%. I gave N5m to  Gemade to boost BCC production.

“There are great men in Benue State with great ideas to develop the State. I will bring Benue from 36 to no 1 on the ease of doing business in Nigeria.

“Benue is seeing huge money larger than before, yet no development. So far, we as a people had nothing to show to the world. We must take a stance as one. The day am announce as governor of Benue State, work will commence immediately.

” I will visit States with heights of developments to replicate it in Benue within two weeks of being in office as governor.

“One of the most unused advantage of what Benue has is the available of Rivers. We are not making use of the available Rivers in the state.

“We must join hands to develop Benue from poverty to glory. Benue remain  one of the poorest States in Nigeria.

“I believe in the ability and capacity of younger people. Am going to give Benue a great hope and growth. My cabinet will be made up of 70% of young people between the ages of 35 to 55”, Ujah stated .

He announced that similar exercise will be carried out across the three senatorial districts of the State.
