2027: C’River North Senatorial zone begins selection of popular candidate through online Voting

As the 2027 general elections approaches, the people of Cross River Northern Senatorial District have resorted to the use of online voting,

They however, asked the people to pick aspirants of their choice  posted in four Facebook timelines, who will represent them in Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The votes which featured six prominent sons of that federal Constituency did not indicate any political party, had Julius Okputu, Godwin Offiono, the incumbent, Jude Ngaji, High Chief Henry Onwe, Mike Usibe and Mr. Francis Ekpo.

A total of one hundred and and eight  persons ,mostly from the two local government areas that constitute the constituency, Ogoja and Yala participated in the vote. 

After the online vote, Chief Henry Onwe pulled 73 votes, followed by Barrister Godwin Offiono with 14 votes, Jude Ngaji had 9 votes, Julius Okputu 5 votes while Hon Mike Usibe had 4 and Francis Ekpo, 3 votes respectively.

The voters made very interesting comments before expressing their opinion  through their votes and most of the comments clearly expressed their love for the aspirant of their choice.

The online voting may have clearly expressed the pattern and choice of the people for the position in the coming 2027 election as it relates to the Reps seat for the Ogoja/ Yala Federal Constituency of Cross river..
